Reconstruction of the Marburg Synagogue

Medieval Synagogue

Since 2016, we have been developing products and solutions using augmented or virtual reality, primarily in an industrial environment. Last year, on the occasion of the city's birthday, Marburg800, we used this technology for the first time in a context of interest to the general public with the virtual replica of the medieval synagogue.

Synagogue Universitätsstraße

While the replica of the medieval synagogue was also integrated into a medieval scene, the virtual reconstruction of the synagogue destroyed during the Nazi era was about digitally integrating the building into the current cityscape.

And this project has been completely successful:
As soon as you put on a pair of data glasses, you find yourself in today's University Street.

And where the Garden of Remembrance is located today, the synagogue stands replicated to scale and can be experienced in almost real terms.

Hessenschau: As if the synagogue destroyed by the Nazis were still there

As a well-made and informative contribution of the Hessian broadcasting company, the virtual synagogue was also a topic in the Hessenschau:

For more information, please refer to the accompanying article Als wäre die von den Nazis zerstörte Synagoge noch da.

We offer appointments for the 360 degree adventure trip at the INOSOFT headquarters on weekdays between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. And if you have virtual reality data glasses, you can start this journey through time all for yourself from home!
